This workshop is designed to provide clinicians with an overview of the essential skills needed to insert and remove intrauterine contraceptive devices. Efficacy, contraindications, and advantages of intrauterine contraception will be discussed, along with appropriate criteria for use. Procedures and techniques used to ensure safe insertion and removal will be explained. Through the use of non-human training models, participants will have the opportunity to practice their insertion and removal techniques and receive feedback.

Implanon Insertion and Removal

The training program is a company-sponsored, hands-on workshop where you will be able to receive comprehensive training on Implanon. Only clinicians who complete the program will be able to insert or remove the device. During the course, there will be an overview of the correct way to insert and remove Implanon. There will also be practice models provided. At the completion of the training, you will be certified to insert and remove Implanon.
